Viticulture
The Viognier for the 2017 Concrete Blanc were grown in the Melange du Rhône Vineyard
in the El Pomar AVA of Paso Robles.
Vinification
After a whole cluster pressing, the 2017 Viognier was 70% fermented in concrete tanks and 30% in neutral French oak barrels. The wines were then blended and bottled after 8 months of aging. 70% fermented in concrete tanks and 30% in neutral French oak barrels.
Tasting notes
Starts on the nose with pear, apricot, and peach. Pineapple, lychee, and guava come together on the palate, along with notes of bubblegum and honeysuckle that finishes in a mouth-coating minerality.
