Vinification
Petite Sirah portion was aged 14 months in American and French oak, 40% new barrels. The Zinfandel portion was aged 14 months in American and French oak, 25% new barrels.
Tasting notes
A dense purple hue opens with ripe blackberry, preserved plums with notes of shaved cocoa and black pepper. The mouthfeel is packed with sweet black cherry, dark chocolate and ripe cherry aromas, with flavors of raspberry. Long and persistent on the finish, the wine shows ripe tannins and elegant opulence with a focused core of toasted vanilla.
